JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Departmen t : Radiology
Shift Timing s : 11 : 00 - 21 : 30 Hours Monday to Friday 10 hours / 4 days.
Per week : 40 Hours
Work any holidays that fall within normal work days.
- Must take 3 call shifts / month and 1 call weekend every other month.
- Must be strong in surgery
Roles & Responsibilities
Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies.Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.QUALIFICATIONS
BLS and ACLSNational Institutes of Health (NIH)Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careRequires a minimum of two years of current Radiology Tech experience.Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech programActive unencumbered Idaho Radiology Tech state licenseOne year of Cerner experienceRequirements
