Responsibilities
A leading hospital in southeastern Virginia has an opportunity for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide locum coverage.
Opportunity Details :
Flexible Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7a-5p or 7a-7p
Must be open to taking call shifts
8 operating rooms
Cases : General adult and pediatric cases, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia, OB, neurosurgical, complex vascular, complex orthopedic, vent management, central lines
Care team model, 1 : 3 supervision
Current Team : 4 MDs, 11 CRNAs, anesthesia techs
EMR : Epic
Must be board-certified

Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered CRNA Virginia state license
Graduate from a fully accredited CRNA program
One year of work experience as a CRNA
One year of Epic experience
Board Certified
SKILLS / ABILITIES / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
Requirements :
