Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care by quickly assessing and addressing urgent medical needs.
Collaborate closely with our supportive healthcare team to create tailored treatment plans for every individual.
Diagnose and manage a variety of acute conditions while keeping a friendly atmosphere in our care center.
Educate patients on treatment options and preventive measures with clarity and warmth.
Facilitate smooth follow-ups and connect patients to additional healthcare resources as needed.
Document all patient interactions thoroughly to ensure high-quality care and continuity.
Stay up-to-date with the latest medical techniques and guidelines in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a passion for urgent care.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while treating a variety of patients.
Bring at least a few years of clinical experience in acute or primary care settings.
Value strong communication skills to educate and comfort patients and families.
Thrive on teamwork, collaborating with physicians and fellow healthcare professionals.
Embrace ongoing learning to consistently provide updated, patient-focused care.
Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly and empathetically to each unique patient need.
Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have successfully completed an approved nurse practitioner program.
Possess valid State of Connecticut licensure
Have or be eligible to obtain DEA and state narcotic registration
Have a deep knowledge of nursing theory and practice or physician assistant theory and practice coupled with a record of providing high quality, comprehensive, professional clinical care to patients according to established standards, protocols and practices.
Possess the ability to provide cultural competent care to a diverse patient population in a collaborative environment.
Have skill taking medical history, assessing medical conditions and interpreting findings.
Have a track record of proven success communicating effectively with patients, peers, and other stakeholders both orally and in writing.
Have demonstrated ability to maintain timely, thorough and accurate written clinical documentation
Be able to make evidence-based clinical decisions and comply with department and organizational quality measures
Be comfortable using electronic health record and other computer systems
Be willing to perform other duties as assigned.
Candidates with 1-2 years’ experience working in an ambulatory setting or providing urgent care are preferred.
