Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care services in all assigned areas that includes evaluation, assessment, treatment planning based on the functional needs of the patients, program development, evaluation of the response to care, and readjustment of the treatment plan as required. Plans and provides patient, family, peer and community education and coordinates services with other health cares professionals including interaction with physicians responsible for the care of the patient. The Physical Therapist II also demonstrates advanced skills and functions as a clinical instructor in the development of students and interns. Follows an individualized performance development plan to maintain current knowledge and be competent in critical areas and support program components. Promote hospital goals and objectives.

- Collaborate warmly with patients to create personalized exercise plans that help manage lymphedema effectively.
- Guide patients through gentle manual therapies and self-care techniques with patience and understanding. Monitor progress closely, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure comfort and improvement.
- Educate patients and their families on lymphedema management and daily practices for lasting benefits.
- Communicate openly with the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere where patients feel empowered and informed about their care journey.
- Stay updated with the latest research and techniques to continually enhance patient outcomes.
- Board-certified Physical Therapist with specialized training in lymphedema management
- Passionate about using manual lymphatic drainage techniques to help ease swelling
- Dedicated to creating personalized treatment plans that suit each unique patient
- Committed to ongoing learning and keeping up with the latest lymphedema care advances

- Always ready to listen, empathize, and empower individuals on their healing journey
- Upon hire: California Physical Therapist License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 0 - 3 years Clinical experience as a practicing therapist.
- Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
- Completed a project or special assignment relate to program or staff development.
- Served as a clinical instructor for interning students and participated in presenting in-services to staff/students.
- Participated in at least one community service event over the past year.
