Job Title :    Local Contract – Nuclear Med Tech

Shift :   Night shifts– 40 hours

Duration :  13 weeks

Summary

Department : Nuclear Medicine

Shift timings : 07 : 00-16 : 00 Monday  to Friday (8 Hours / 5 Days)

Per Week : 40 Hours

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
• Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data / history).
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
• Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
• Lock / tag out equipment if appropriate.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department.​

Qualifications

BLS and ACLS

National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

The ability to stand for extended periods.

Strong technical skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology

Passionate about patient care

Requires a minimum of three years of current Nuclear Med Tech experience.

Graduate from a fully accredited Nuclear Med Tech program

Active unencumbered Idaho Nuclear Med Tech state license

One year of Epic experience

ARRT Certification

Required a minimum of 3 year of Experience.

Certifications / License Required : ARRT Nuclear Med or CNMT, and a NYS nuclear med license.
