Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for qualified Health Aids for this position working in a hospital setting located in Savannah, GA, 31406. Pay Rate: $17/hr

Shift: 7am – 7:30 pm or 7pm to 7:30 am
Contract: 13 week assignment starting 4/16/25

Job Duties:
- Under direct supervision, provides basic patient care and works with patients/clients to develop daily living skills. May take vital signs.
- Responds to patients call for assistance.
- Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs.
- Bathes, grooms, shaves, and dresses clients
- Conducts activities for recreation and socialization.
- Ensures safety and security of clients.
- Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves.
- Observes and documents patient data, behavior, and activity.
- Prepares clients for treatment or examination.
- Provides client care by supplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressings and
- Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
- Provides subprofessional occupational and/or physical therapy services to physically and/or developmentally disabled patients
- Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units.
- Consistently utilize the principles of the recovery model when engaging Patients.
- Maintain acceptable standards of patient care consistent with Joint Commission, CMS, and
- Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with Supplier leave policy
- Responds to hospital codes as appropriate.
- Performs approved techniques to prevent and safely manage aggressive behaviors
- High school diploma or GED and 2 years of continuous experience providing basic patient care in psychiatric healthcare is required.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and have the strength to push and pull and stand for long periods of time.
- Current Life Saver Certification is required.
- Two (2) continuous years of experience providing basic patient care in psychiatric healthcare is required.
- Knowledge of documentation principles.
- Knowledge of Bowel Elimination and proper actions.
- Management of Seizures and necessary follow-up actions.
- Knowledge of safe transferring protocols.
- Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control processes.
