HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Echo Ultrasound Tech to fill a job opening. This role requires travel to the offices located in Metairie, New Orleans, and Slidell.
Daily Responsibilities for Echo Ultrasound Tech:
- Ability to use ultrasonic equipment in various modes to perform diagnostic sonography examinations to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, functional and pathological data.
- Perform diagnostic procedure
- Produce diagnostic images using Doppler, abdominal, or other ultrasound
- Prepare preliminary ultrasound report for physician
- Keys in test data and patient information into computer to maintain records of test result
- Maintains and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy of results
- Explain procedure to patient so that they are well informed regarding the examination
- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
- Assists with transporting patient to and from the exam room
- The shifts for the position: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. 3 days per week
- This is a 5-month contract position, covering an employee on maternity leave
- Bachelor's degree
- Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound Sonographer
- 1 year experience as a Cardiology Tech
- Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or must be registry eligible
- Current BLS
