Medical Assistant
HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Medical Assistant to fill an opening with a large managed care organization in Safety Harbor, Florida.
Daily Responsibilities for a Medical Assistant:
- Serve as the first point of contact for patient care, handling both administrative and clinical duties.
- Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and document medical history in the EMR system.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and diagnostic tests.
- Maintain examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver patient-centered care.
- Work independently within established guidelines, prioritizing tasks and ensuring quality standards.
- Shift: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm
Required Qualifications for a Medical Assistant:
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5 years of experience and approval from Provider
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR Certified
- This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Pay Details: $19.00- $20.80 an hour
