HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Patient Registration Rep to fill an opening with a Fortune 500 company in Owensboro, KY .

Daily Responsibilities for Patient Registration Rep :

• Coordinate patient workflow to reduce wait times.
• Assist patient with intake processes.
• Confirm eligibility and verifies insurance benefits.
• Ensure all demographic and billing information is obtained for patients.
• Enter demographic information onto the computer system.
• Schedule appointment using computerized scheduling programs.
• Explain financial responsibilities for services received, payment options, and collection procedures to patients and / or parties responsible for payment.
• Counsel patients regarding insurance benefits and recommends alternative sources of payment and / or financial assistance when appropriate.
• Accepts payments and co - pays.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies, external agencies, patients, physicians, and team members.
• 40 hours per week between 3pm - 11 : 30pm CST with rotating weekends
