POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Ambulatory Applications is responsible for overseeing the implementation, optimization, and support of the MEDITECH ambulatory solution across the Healthcare Systems of America (HSA) enterprise. This role is focused on delivering innovative technology solutions to enhance clinical workflows, patient engagement, and operational efficiency within ambulatory care settings. The individual will lead a team of analysts and informatics professionals, ensuring the effective use and continuous improvement of MEDITECH's ambulatory modules.
This position plays a critical role in building and managing a team of analysts dedicated to the development and deployment of ambulatory applications at HSA. The Manager will ensure that all ambulatory needs-including scheduling, patient records, documentation, charting, order management, and system integration-are addressed through a comprehensive and cohesive solution.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute strategic plans for HSA's ambulatory products, ensuring alignment with the organization's clinical and operational goals
- Build, manage, and mentor a team of application analysts and informatics specialists supporting ambulatory products
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of ambulatory modules, ensuring seamless integration with other systems and clinical workflows
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and IT teams to identify opportunities for workflow enhancements, process improvements, and system upgrades
- Create and maintain documentation, standards, and workflows to support efficient application maintenance, training and troubleshooting practices
- Oversee day-to-day operations for ambulatory modules, providing effective issue resolution and user support
- Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and testing initiatives, ensuring functionality, compliance, and minimal disruptions to operations
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred)
- 5 years of experience in managing application systems, particularly ambulatory modules
- Experience in team leadership and project management in a healthcare IT environment.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in Ambulatory tools and integration workflows (Preferably MEDITECH)
- Proven track record of strategic leadership and team management
- Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for innovation in healthcare technology and optimizing patient-centered workflows
