Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Psychiatrist / Medical Director to lead and support our client's busy outpatient behavioral health facility near Austin, Texas. This hybrid role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care and team development.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide outpatient psychiatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and medication management.
Oversee clinical operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
Mentor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
Education : MD or DO in Psychiatry from an accredited medical school.
Board : Board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist with an active license to practice in Texas.
Strong Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with patients effectively through virtual platforms.
Empathy & Compassion : Ability to build trust and rapport with patients in a remote setting, providing emotional support and clinical guidance.
Knowledge of Psychiatric Disorders : Expertise in diagnosing and treating a range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and others.
Fellowship or Specialty Training in areas like addiction psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, or child / adolescent psychiatry is a plus.
Experience with Digital Health Tools : Familiarity with virtual care technologies and platforms that enhance the telehealth experience.
