Travel CT Technologist
Location : Ann Arbor, MI
Duration : 13-week assignment (with potential extension)
Shift : 3x12s, 7pm - 7 : 30am, One call weekend a month
Pay Package : Taxable Wages - $725
Nontaxable weekly stipend - $1,435
Gross Weekly Pay (Based on 36 hours) - $2160

- Reviews radiology requisition and physician order to ensure proper procedure is performed. Collect and ensure previous, pertinent exams are available for Radiologist's review.
- Instructs patient regarding procedures and preps. Positions patient and, if necessary, restrains mobility through use of immobilization devices.
- Determines exposure factors; adjusts exposure factors and operates equipment according to established procedures to obtain diagnostic C.T. procedures and diagnostic radiographs.
- Cleans and organizes work area to ensure proper supplies required for procedures are available. Processes and reviews quality of images. Reports need for equipment adjustment or repair to Coordinator / Manager. Ensures that safety devices such as shielding, lead aprons and gloves are utilized properly during procedures.
- Continued need to update knowledge and skills through membership and participation in professional associations. Assists with on-the-job instruction of radiology students and orienting technologists.
- Performs venous punctures for injection of contrast media, monitors patient for reaction and / or complications.
- Communicates wet / stat reading results to physician offices and discusses results with patient when requested to do so.
