Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) – Senior Living Community
Location: Northeast Indianapolis, just south of Geist Reservoir.
Schedule: Full-time at 30-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Join our dynamic therapy team at a thriving senior living community located on the northeast side of Indianapolis. We provide a full range of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to help improve the quality of life for our senior residents. Our goal is to foster physical health, independence, and overall well-being.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant [OTA] to become part of our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work with a diverse population of residents, addressing their unique therapeutic needs to help them achieve greater independence and improved physical health. You'll be supported by a collaborative team, providing opportunities for both professional growth and meaningful impact on patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists (OTs) in implementing individualized therapy plans aimed at helping residents improve or maintain their ability to perform daily activities.
- Support residents in achieving their therapeutic goals and improving mobility and overall quality of life.
- Educate residents and their families on how to modify the home environment to ensure safety and independence.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress.
- Lead or assist in group therapy activities aimed at socialization, cognitive stimulation, or improving fine motor skills

Requirements
Applicants must have an active Indiana Occupational Therapy Assistant license or must have the necessary qualifications to earn Indiana license. These qualifications include a degree from an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy assisting program, subsequent passing of the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT®) examination, and fulfilling the state’s requirements for licensure.
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Proof of eligibility will be required upon offer of employment.
