We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Telemetry to join our healthcare team.
Duties
- Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs, interpreting data to identify any changes in condition.
- Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
- Conduct case management activities, coordinating care across various departments including Level I Trauma Center services.
- Maintain infection control standards while providing care in both inpatient and ambulatory surgery center settings.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in administering injections as required, demonstrating proficiency in techniques and safety measures.
- Support patients with disabilities by adapting care approaches to meet their unique needs.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring systems and cardiac care protocols.
- Proficient in medication administration and IV infusion techniques.
- Experience working within a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-acuity settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of case management principles and practices related to patient care coordination.
- Familiarity with infection control practices to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Experience administering injections with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
