What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support worker - Balclutha position at HealthcareNZ Limited?
We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate Support Workers across our different services including Community & Rehabilitation and Social Services. Whether you are looking for flexibility around other commitments or would prefer regular rostered shifts, we have a variety of permanent (full-time and part-time) and casual options on offer.
What does a Support Worker do?
As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied, and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below :
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Giving medication
- Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
- Home management - a must
- Alternative weekends are a must
- May need to travel to surround areas
