About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to join our team, reporting directly to our CFO, who brings a decade of Big 4 consulting experience. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to grow into the Controller role within 1-2 years. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in overseeing key financial operations and supporting the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and intercompany transactions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606.
- Assist in preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements.
- Serve as the point of contact for external accounting consultants during Tax, QoE, and audit engagements.
- Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system, working to optimize financial workflows and automations.
- Maintain and improve processes for financial controls and reporting.
- Collaborate directly with the CFO to provide insights and recommendations on financial strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- 2-3 years of public accounting experience or 3-5 years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, data analysis, etc.).
- Experience with QuickBooks or Dynamics ERP systems (if coming from industry).
- Knowledge of healthcare or media industries (a plus).
- Independent problem solver with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
