DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Job Summary :

The Director of Operations is responsible for HealthCore Clinic’s (HCC) daily functioning; including managing the areas of scheduling, quality, outreach, facilities, and support with the implementation and integration of new programs, and services. HCC operates as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and the Director of Operations is expected to support and facilitate a healthy PCMH operational environment. The role includes promoting a healthy community by providing direction; supervision and oversight; facilitation of working relationships; and promotion of a collaborative, integrated healthcare setting. The Director of Operations is responsible for providing leadership on the vision of HCC’s services with a focus on quality and successful outcomes.

Essential Functions :

The Director of Operations is responsible for enhancing the internal organizational processes that will allow HCC to continue to grow and fulfill its mission. Will supervise staff and ensure programs comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements. He or she will make certain that necessary staff are licensed and practicing within their scope of care and that programs are licensed and in line with auditing / quality guidelines as required. The Director of Operations is responsible for the smooth integration of multiple and varied services within the organizational setting. The Director of Operations will be responsible for keeping assigned programs within budget.

Duties include :

1. Providing support and supervision to assigned staff

2. Working closely with quality and risk management teams

3. Overseeing administrative functions as assigned

4. Support for submitting new grants to identified entities

5. Data collection and reporting on HCC’s grant reporting requirements

6. Collaborate with developing and improving upon current program policies and procedures and creation of any that are needed but not yet formed

7. Working with outside organizations to build collaborative partnerships

Additional skills include :

5. Development of processes / systems to ensure high levels of operational and programmatic work

6. Self-starter yet flexible and able to multi-task and will have the ability to work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while driving high-quality solutions

7. Demonstrate resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.

8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements : Â

 1. Bachelors in business, healthcare management, social work, or other similar degree required

2. Master’s degree preferredÂ

3. Prior experience in the health care industry and in administrative roles is preferred, but it is not required.

4. The Director of Operations will participate in an in-depth training within and outside of the organization to learn the skills necessary to perform the duties identified above. The position is ideal for a creative individual who is a self-starter and able to delegate to and motivate others.
