Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of relationships with ABM vendors. Focusing on the oversight, management and continuous improvement of vendor partner performance based on established best practices and program service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities: “To simplify complexities for each customer.”

  • Demonstrates the ability to analyze and report program results in order to detect trends, identify issues, and opportunities. Providing vendors with recommendations and when necessary, implement action plans for performance improvement.
  • Performs due diligence reviews, participates in on-site visits, and oversees action plans to address vendor partner performance gaps and risks.
  • Establishes strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective planning and collaboration on appropriate vendor related matters.
  • Coordination of vendor activities as they relate to customer initiatives, program enhancements and new implementations.
  • Strives to stay current on the ancillary markets, vendors and their service offerings.
  • Participation in Vendor implementations activities.

Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities:

Future potential for direct supervision of 1-2 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding/motivating and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Acts as a change agent, and develops a high-performing team in the spirit of exceptional service to all internal and external partners.

Qualifications/Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university plus minimum of 2-4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Two to four years of Management, Leadership, PMO, or Vendor Management Experience
  • Prior clinical experience in areas such as nursing or physical medicine a plus.
  • Must possess exceptional influence/negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prefer experience in the workers’ compensation managed care industry or other related ancillary service offerings. Pharmacy benefits management experience also preferred.
  • Strong presentation, organizational, interpersonal communication, and analytical skills required.
  • The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, high-growth environment.
  • Preferred experience in executing procedures, quality assurance and general work flow processes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel required; knowledge of other Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Prefer experience with Project Management protocols.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Duties are performed primarily in a home office setting utilizing computer equipment. Travel to attend meetings and visit locations throughout the country may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographical cost of labor, etc. In addition to base pay, Healthesystems offers a comprehensive benefits package including, health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, recognition programs, 401k contribution, and PTO & Holiday pay (all subject to eligibility requirements).
