The Southeast Louisiana VA Health Care System in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a full-time Dentist to serve as its Assistant Chief of Dental Service. Highlights of this position include :
- Competitive Starting Salary $210,000-$265,000
- Work Schedule : Mon-Fri, 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm (other times as required)
- Direct patient care with the balance as administrative (approx. 75-80% Clinical duties)
- Perform specific duties within his / her approved scope of practice
- Provide dental screenings, cleanings, X-rays, and fillings
- Candidate will also provide specialty dental procedures like periodontal care removable and fixed prosthetics including implant restoration
- Conducting performance appraisals
- Responsible for overseeing dental provider's clinic coverage at local service level
- Orienting and providing in-service training and education of all persons in the Service in collaboration with staff of other services
