CLINIC PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT - CARDIOLOGY
Natividad currently has a full-time opportunity for a Clinic Physician Assistant for our Cardiology Clinic. Under general direction of a physician and utilizing standardized procedures and protocols, the Physician Assistant will provide professional primary health care services to patients with complex chronic and acute heart and cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient Cardiology clinic setting. Responsibilities include conducting complete physical examinations; assessing, diagnosing and managing care of patients; ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests; formulating treatment plans and providing and managing follow-up care as permitted within scope of licensure; and performing other related clinical and administrative work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Required License : Pursuant to Section 3503 of the Business and Professions Code, possess and maintain a license to practice as a Physician’s Assistant issued by the Physician’s Assistants Committee of the Medical Board of California and Pursuant to Section 3502.1 of the Business and Professions Code possess and maintain a valid DEA number and registration.
Within one year of appointment, must possess and maintain National Physician Assistant Certification
Must possess training, experience and certification as set forth in the hospital’s Practice Prerogative’s to practice in the fields of Family and Adult Medicine and other primary care services as may be determined by the clinics.
Experience : Three to five years of experience as a Physician Assistant with demonstrated ability to provide the full scope of care for ambulatory patients in a clinical cardiology setting, with little supervision in the area of specialty.
