Summary
Manages network and communications systems support and staff in area(s) of specialization. Ensures effective performance in order to meet business needs in compliance with strategic priorities. Collaborates closely with business and / or functional area(s) to assist the user in defining their needs. Assumes responsibility for all projects within group.
Job Duties
- Responsible for the development and support of area(s) of specialization within group.
- Assists with the resolution of departmental, cross–departmental and organizational issues that are barriers to successful utilization and implementation.
- Suggests innovative design alternatives using appropriate applications and technology.
- Identifies methodology and process problems and recommends design of new approaches.
- Ensures thorough and complete unit, functional and integration testing.
- Develops reasonable and efficient project plans and objectives through the review of requirements, resources, task definition, and estimation.
- Ensures effective and efficient system integration with overall system architecture to minimize impact of changes on all customers.
- Assists in preparing annual capital / operating budgets that are realistic and cost–effective. Ensures cost effective use of resources.
- Responsible for work evaluation and performance improvement recommendations for all personnel within group.
- Sensitive to overall group dynamics and proactively fosters teamwork.
