Qualifications :
- Degree / Education : Be a graduate Physician Assistant qualified by academic and practical education to provide patient services as a physician extender under supervision of a physician. HCW must also be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Training Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), or its predecessors, and acceptable to the Surgeon General, USAF, is mandatory
- Certifications : must have American Red Cross BLS / CPR for Healthcare Providers Course or American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers or Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Course. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are highly recommended, but not required.
- Experience : Must have at least 24 months of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 36 months. Basic understanding of utilization management, data / cost analysis concepts, and medical informatics are preferred. Membership in professional organizations is encouraged. Computer skills in data management and Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are desirable.
- Board Certification : Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Committee on Certification Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required
- Licensure / Registration : Must maintain a full, valid, unrestricted, and current license
