Overview :
Responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care for the pre-operative patient and to efficiently prepare the surgical patient for the intra-operative procedure. Responsible to assure all nursing documentation, laboratory testing, EKG's and H&P's are complete and in date. Works closely with all staff, anesthesiologist and surgeons provide continuity of care. Prepares each patient in a timely manner, following all hospital policies, procedures and standards of care. Assures that proper communication is given to the appropriate surgical team member for special patient needs. Maintains competent nursing skills to ensure safe quality patient care.
Qualifications :
- Education : Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Licensure : RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience : 1 years hospital or medical-surgical experience preferred.
- Certifications : CPR
- Preferred Experience : 2 years hospital medical-surgical experience.
- Preferred Certifications : ACLS
