The Eastern Oklahoma Veterans Health Care System is seeking a dedicated and passionate Staff Pathologist to join our esteemed team at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, OK. Opportunity Highlights
- Full-Time Permanent Position : We are inviting applications for an AP / CP boarded Staff Pathologist. We have an interesting case mix of biopsy-predominant surgical specimens and non-GYN cytology cases (~ 5500 surgical specimens per year, increasing ~10% per year), rare after-hours clinical lab phone calls while on call (
- Collaborative Environment : Work within a supportive team of one full-time Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (80% admin / 20% clinical), one full-time staff pathologist, and one part-time staff pathologist (variable schedule) actively contributing to patient care through surgical and clinical pathology.
- Clinical Excellence : Work in a collegial practice environment with primary care, surgery, oncology, medicine and other specialty providers.
- Fellowship Training : Candidates currently completing an ACGME-accredited AP / CP residency are welcome to apply. American Board of Pathology AP / CP certification is preferred.
- Competitive Compensation : Enjoy a proposed compensation range of $200K—$400K , with opportunities for education debt reduction through our Employee Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Receive up to $40,000 per year for up to 5 years (Total $200,000 Tax-Free) toward qualifying student debt.
- Work-Life Balance : Your schedule will be from 8 AM to 4 : 30 PM Monday to Friday, with light phone-only call coverage nights and weekends.
