What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Healthier Tomorrows?
Healthier Tomorrows, a Chicago-based outpatient nutrition counseling practice focusing on care for clients of all ages throughout the country, is looking for an experienced, energetic, detail oriented controller to join our team and lead our internal finance function. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in healthcare, ideally with experience in the behavioral health field, to work closely with our senior leadership to support the mission and growth of our practice. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, have experience with financial analysis and be able to manage our payroll and financial reporting processes.

Candidates living in the Chicagoland area will have the opportunity to work in-person in our offices if desired. Candidates living outside of the Chicagoland area will work on a remote basis. Primary Duties and Responsibilities.
The primary responsibilities of this position include :
- Providing comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing and reporting appropriate data points
- Guiding financial decisions through analysis of practice performance and current economic landscape, including evaluation of insurance reimbursement rates in targeted new markets
- Managing payroll process, including 401(k) contributions
- Helping to develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies
- Working with senior leadership to develop and execute on growth strategies in new geographies
- Working with outside accountants in connection with preparation of financial statements
- Managing external retirement planning and insurance relationships to ensure efficient operations, including resolving any issues that arise from time to time
