Mission:
The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. This role is critical in maintaining strong cash flow, minimizing outstanding debts, and ensuring timely payment of obligations. The Specialist will contribute to streamlining financial processes, improving accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of HealthMerch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Follow up on receivables to ensure timely payments.
- Reduce the aging of outstanding receivables by implementing structured follow-up systems.
- Increase customer payment compliance through clear communication and process improvements.
- Accounts Payable Management:
- Ensure vendor payments are processed within agreed terms, maintaining positive relationships.
- Assist in negotiating better payment terms with key suppliers to improve cash flow.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements within AR/AP tasks to increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with the finance team to integrate software tools that enhance automation and reduce manual processes.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Produce accurate and timely monthly AR/AP reports, providing insights into cash flow and outstanding debts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to AR/AP functions.
- Collaboration and Team Support:
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and accuracy, supporting team efforts to reduce errors in financial transactions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable management.
- Experience in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial software tools and ERP systems.
