Job Summary and Qualifications
The Certified Surgical First Assist will perform as the surgeon’s assistant in the operating room, during evaluations, procedures, care management, and follow-up. The Certified Surgical First Assist assumes the responsibility for ensuring effective communication with the circulator, the surgeon, the patient and their family, as well as the other members of the surgical team. The skills required for this position include but are not limited to setting up and scrubbing the following cases : Robotic, Bariatric, General, GI, GYN, Orthopedic, Spine / Neuro, Urology, Vascular, and ENT procedures.
