Job Summary:The Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health OB/GYN will provide comprehensive healthcare services to women during all stages of life, with a focus on obstetric and gynecologic care. Working collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team, this role encompasses diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, preventive care, and patient education.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive and episodic health assessments, developing individualized patient care plans.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, including prenatal, postpartum, and general gynecological care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests and coordinate follow-up care.
- Provide primary and specialty care services, including well-woman exams, contraceptive counseling, STI testing and treatment, and referrals as needed.
- Collaboratively manage antenatal and postnatal care in partnership with physicians or midwifery colleagues.
- Offer health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness education.
- Collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, adhering to professional and legal standards.
- Stay current on research and evidence-based practices in women’s health OB/GYN.
- Provide empathetic guidance and support, addressing patient concerns about their health and treatment options.
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
- Completion of a Nurse Practitioner (NP) Program in the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
- Arizona State Nursing License (or eligibility to obtain).
