What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Practice Clinician Fellow in Orthopedics position at HealthPartners?
Job Description
We are offering a 12-month post-graduate fellowship program for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners interested in advanced training in Orthopedics with a flexible start date (earliest September 2025).
The TRIA Orthopedics Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Fellowship engages APC learners in extensive training within Orthopedics, as well as required rotations in related specialty areas deemed essential for proficiency. Responsibilities include performing histories and physicals, formulating an assessment and plan, and providing necessary treatments and procedures. The APC Fellow will spend a significant portion of their training at TRIA’s multiple locations, as well as Methodist Hospital, Regions Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center.
Through cadaveric labs, case presentations, journal clubs and grand rounds, the didactic curriculum compliments the comprehensive rotations and hands on experiences, offering APC Fellows the opportunity to develop clinical competence, critical thinking skills, and interprofessional collaboration. This allows APCs to successfully integrate into the specialty of Orthopedics at an accelerated rate compared with on-the-job training.
