Job Description
Regions Hospital is seeking an APP with excellent critical thinking skills, collaboration, and assessment to join our Oncology Clinic. This role works in collaboration with physicians and other medical staff to provide services to patients and their families. They are engaged in independent decision-making about health care needs and provides health care services to individuals and their families. Performs a comprehensive history, including chart review and information gathered from the family and performs physical and psychological health assessments. This role will also assist in the development of a cancer survivorship program and serve as the primary clinical provider in the survivorship clinic.
Work Schedule : 0.8 FTE
Clinic Hours Mon-Fri. Inpatient rotation, no weekends.
Required Qualifications :
- Masters in Nursing or graduate of an accredited formal physician's assistant training program.
- Nurse Practitioners beginning practice after July 1, 2014, must practice for at least 2,080 hours within the context of a collaborative management setting in a hospital or integrated clinical setting where APRNs and physicians work together.
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant OR currently licensed as an APRN in the state of MN and current MN RN license.
- Current APP certification as Physician's Assistant OR current APRN Specialty Certification (ANCC / ONCC).
- For PA, must be approved by Minnesota Board of Medical Practice for prescription writing privileges.
- Current BLS
- Must Possesses active DEA Number
