POSITION TITLE: Client Service Consultant
POSITION PURPOSE: (Why does this position exist?)
Responsible for working in a dyad with a Key Account Manager and/or Account Manager on large or key accounts. Partner to retain and grow accounts in a manner that aligns with the strategic business plan and to achieve annual growth and revenue targets. Provide reporting analysis, problem solving and overall business account support for all national accounts.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Key roles, responsibilities & functions for this position)
Partner and work in a dyad manner with a Key Account Manager and/or Account Manager on large or key accounts to provide reporting analysis, problem solving and service that aligns with the strategic business plan and overall account management work.
Retain and grow assigned accounts on a profitable basis.
Partner to coordinate benefits and trend management strategies with other departments.
Responsible for: financial and claim analysis of employer reports; ongoing renewal; performance guarantees; contracts; onsite client meetings; presentations as needed; and additional amendments or agreements as needed depending on solutions purchased.
Develop and maintain relationships with lead consultants on accounts.
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers and benefits personal on assigned accounts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Minimum qualifications needed for this position)
Bachelor’s degree
Two years of experience in a customer service related position
Minnesota insurance license within three months of hire.
Ability to manage multiple project assignments.
Demonstrated capacity for working in a fast paced setting.
Current, valid, unrestricted Driver’s License (in the state of residence) free of major traffic violations or a pattern of repeated violations for the last 3 years and daily access to a relatable, insured vehicle.
Execution of a non-competition agreement upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Sales/account management experience in the health care industry.
Demonstrated group presentation, negotiation and problem solving skills.
Strong business background, advanced courses in business, marketing or finance.
Proficiency with computer software and contact tracking programs.
Project management skills in a team based environment.
Ability to work effectively at all levels within an organization.
Prior experience in a team environment.
Knowledge of basic insurance underwriting principles.
