- Knowledge of basic techniques of Radiologic Technology
- Knowledge of routines and procedures required to produce quality radiographs for basic procedures
- Knowledge of safety techniques, including radiation safety, required during radiologic/medical imaging procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of patients of all ages, cultures and physical conditions
- Ability to work in stressful situations

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
To assist in limited computed tomography procedures, and to perform related duties as assigned.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND TASKS:

1. Assists in limited computed tomography procedures at a consistently high quality level. 65%1. Assists CT Radiologic Technologists, in performing examinations by assisting in positioning of patient and by providing appropriate equipment or accessory’s needed
1. Assists CT Radiologic Technologist in obtaining and reviewing appropriate paperwork, including pertinent information, clinical indications and special instructions, prior to each procedure.
1. Assists in safe transfer of patient on/off CT imaging examination tables
1. Provides patient care by providing comfort measures, monitoring patient condition and reporting any change to appropriate personnel.
1. Addresses patients professionally and courteously, verifies patient identification, explains examination and responds appropriately to all questions.
2. Evaluates images for proper identification, legal and anatomical labeling, proper positioning, and technical exposure to assure diagnostic quality and review all radiographic images with a registered radiologic technologist prior to ending examination.
3. Prioritizes and assists with exams on a timely basis, especially in emergency and stressful situations
2. Interns will not be allowed to perform the following radiographic examinations unassisted by a registered CT radiologic technologist
1. Any procedure utilizing contrast median
2. Any procedure utilizing fluoroscopy
3. Any CT procedure or examination
