What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMT Trainee - Medical Transportation position at HealthPartners?
We are excited to announce an opportunity for aspiring EMTs. Due to recent expansion of services, HealthPartners Medical Transportation (HPMT) has several exciting new positions available.
The EMT Trainee plays a critical role providing transportation services on our medical transportation vehicles while also training to become a certified EMT. No experience is required. If not already enrolled in an EMT program, department sponsored training will be provided over the course of a few months in this trainee position in order to become EMT certified. If already enrolled in a program, tuition reimbursement will be provided to help cover costs of training program upon completion.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Accepted and/or enrolled into an EMT Training program or enrollment in a department-sponsored EMT training course within 6 months of hire. Must remain enrolled as a student in an EMT training program and progress towards graduation as a certified EMT or awaiting MN EMSRB certification upon completion.
Experience: None required.
Licensure/Certification: Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
Must meet MN DOT STS Driver requirements:
18 Years of age or older
1 Year of driving experience
Clear criminal background
Pass DOT physical examination
MN DOT STS Driver Training completed within 3 months of hire
