Job Description

Regions is hiring a Hospital Social Worker. Come join our dynamic and passionate Social Work team! This position is full time, with a schedule Monday-Friday, 8a-4 : 30p.

Regions Hospital Medical Social Workers provide patients and families with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses within a hospital setting. Delivers professional and thorough social work services, including psychosocial assessment and intervention planning. As a social worker you would support patients and family care givers, providing patient education and counseling, and making referrals for other services. This position will work independently and as part of a team, working effectively with various internal and external partners, patients, families, and physicians to facilitate patient care.

Work Schedule :

M-F, daytime hours, every 4th weekend

Required Qualifications :

  • MSW from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or a similar accreditation body designated by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
  • LGSW, LISW or LICSW Licensure - MN Board of Social Work
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare or social services (2 years of social work experience in LICSW)
