Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or related, or equivalent experience
- Eight (8) years of information technology experience or product team experience
- Three (3) years overseeing work efforts towards a vision or strategy.
- Two (2) years of experience working within an Agile way of working.
- Product owner certification and/or three (3) years’ experience
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills across audiences with varying degrees of technical acumen
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Proven negotiation, arbitration, and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to understand, prioritize, and manage multiple initiatives across a variety of consumers.
- Strong ability to create a strategy and vision.
- Proven ability to develop, mature, and enhance a product.
- Continual learner is necessary.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and audit requirements for the product
- Proven ability to break down and prioritize work to meet a vision.
- Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, network, database, and application design
- Knowledge of Agile targeted tools

- This position may work remotely but will prefer local/regional candidates for occasional onsite meetings and/or workgroup sessions.
- Creates and maintains the product portfolio vision and strategy based on inputs from the product team, consumers, industry, and product-related metric data.
- Creates the product goals and the value metrics.
- Tracks and reports on the product health and value
- Ensures that product recovery capabilities align with HealthPartners needs.
- Ensures the product meets all regulatory, contractual, and organizational requirements.
- Creates or collaborates on funding for product initiatives and operational support.
- Builds ongoing relationships with key business partners, consumers, sponsors, and leaders in order to:
- stay abreast of any new or changing business goals and opportunities, understanding how those changes should influence your prioritization or tactics within the portfolio.
- develop a roadmap for delivering value, by providing team insight on tactical solutions vs longer term strategic goals.
- gain alignment on execution and timing of deliverables across teams, when necessary
- drive change when needed.
- understand dependencies that may exist with external business or technology teams.
- Receive feedback on prioritized product features, capabilities, and consumer requests, so efforts remain in alignment with business goals.
- Escalate and enlist assistance in addressing challenges with performance, vendors, and technology.
- Builds and maintains partnerships with product owners of other product teams to:
- prioritize and coordinate product efforts.
- communicate and make work transparent.
- support agile adoption and IT strategies.
- stay in touch with other teams’ initiatives, strategies, and vision.
- Communicates with the product team on what needs to be delivered.
- Actively participates in scrum team cross-functional story definition, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Owns backlog refinement and product demos.
- Negotiates/manages timing and scope of deliverables.
