Position Summary:
Assumes responsibility for monitoring adherence to PNHS and Laboratory policies and procedures. Participates in planning, implementing, and directing of programs, procedures and staffing to ensure uninterrupted quality personalized care and service to our customers.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Graduate from an accredited baccalaureate degree program in Medical Technology or equivalent certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) OR Graduate from an accredited laboratory technician program resulting in an associate degree.
- Minimum of three years related experience in a hospital or clinic laboratory.
- Must be willing to maintain competence through continuing education.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Must have American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA) certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exhibits a high degree of organization with proven leadership skills in planning and directing work tasks and staff.
- Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Possesses the ability to use professional discretion with patient information.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a leadership role.
