Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technologist to join our Primary Care/Urgent Care clinic in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures in a patient-centered environment, assisting our clinical team with accurate diagnostics to ensure the best possible care. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as ordered by healthcare providers, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare and position patients for X-rays, ensuring comfort, safety, and compliance with radiation safety standards.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, including setup, calibration, and routine checks for functionality and safety.
- Assist clinical staff with patient intake and record management, ensuring proper documentation in the EHR/EMR system.
- Provide patients with clear instructions and maintain a professional, compassionate approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of radiologic procedures, following HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
- Monitor and maintain X-ray supplies and order replacements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including adherence to radiologic safety standards and clinic protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification is required.
- License: Illinois state license in Radiologic Technology.
- Experience: Previous experience in an Urgent Care or Primary Care setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills; proficiency in medical imaging software and EHR/EMR systems.
