Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
· 2 years of experience with credentialing such as health plan, Workers Comp, medical group or Independent Physician Association (IPA) required
· Demonstrated strong typing skills with intermediate to advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) along with PDF editing
Proficiency in learning new software
- Proven strong organizational Skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
· An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed below is also qualifying
Responsibilities
· Maintains and processes the initial application and reappointment process for the credentialing for Private and Workers comp insurance and privileging of the Medical Staff and providers
· Accurately maintains the credentialing and privileging database information
· Maintains current knowledge of the State, Federal, and regulatory agencies
· Performs routine database queries to manage expired and current items
· Completes assigned reporting functions involving health plan roster and databases and transfer data, and other information assigned
· Liaison between health plans and physicians and administration
· Work with physicians to schedule the enrollment application process
· Maintains an on-going system for processing the initial and re-appointment applications for the credentialing
· Ensures that all application verifications and data are received, reviewed and acceptable if findings
· Accurately enters information in group database systems
· Responsible for establishing and maintaining professional working relations with applicants, visitors, callers, business professionals, and staff at all levels within the organization
