What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant position at Healthpointe Medical Group?
We are looking for an X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant to help with our busy period of growth. The right candidate will have a background in radiography and radiology, have a passion for taking x-rays, and be capable of working with a team. Our X-Ray Technicians are often integral members of a hospital's radiology team and will also assist physicians in performing routine procedures, so we're looking for someone who is hard-working and committed to their career choice.
Responsibilities:
- Use diagnostic imaging machines that produce images of the skeletal structure, organs, and soft tissues of the body.
- Interpret images and communicate results.
- Assist patients with getting into position for x-rays.
- Prepare exam room for procedure.
- Prepare equipment for procedure.
- Take x-rays as requested by a radiologist or physician.
- Maintain inventory of x-ray equipment and supplies.
- Explain procedures to patients and families.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
