CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT/GERIATRIC NURSING ASSISTANT CNA/GNA
CNA/GNA Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living skills and shared responsibility for all clients in the house. The weekly work schedule consists of 3-4 overnight shifts including a Saturday or Sunday.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist and support residential clients in all aspects of daily living skills.
- Support member’s healthcare needs and follow-up care.
- Maintain the residence providing a safe and clean environment.
- Positive role modeling and ensuring communication is respectful and culturally appropriate.
- Complete schedules, notes, and shift logs in the EHR.
- Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- High School diploma and 2 years’ experience working with mentally ill adults.
- Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) and 2 years’ experience working with mentally ill adults.
- Current CPR and First Aid.
- Full valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
