ACT Peer Specialist Position Summary:
The ACT team Peer Specialist will share the responsibility to carry out the activities designed to assure ACT mission success on and off site, in groups and one-to-one contacts, in formal as well as informal situations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Take part in all agency training programs as requested.
- Maintain a high quality of treatment at HealthPort using evidenced based practices.
- Carrying out assignments to fulfill the ACT mission of providing sanctuary and support to members in the community.
- Provide specialty expertise to the ACT team in navigating the mental health system as a client.
- Assist in coordination of services received from other community agencies.
- Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by the ACT Team Leader
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- High School diploma and personal firsthand experience with the mental health systems as a client in recovery.
- National certification as a Peer Specialist preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid full driver's license and safe driving record.
