Job Overview
AARS Mental Health Clinician position supports people in our community who are most impacted by mental health limitations and poverty. Many of whom are affected by substance use and trauma. AARS Mental Health Clinician are one of the first line of support when community members get release from the jail system and emergency psychiatric services. Our team supports our community by providing compassionate, integrated care, at a personal and caring level.
The most important characteristic of our team is that we <3 to support clients at our agency. HealthRIGHT 360/AARS is a place for people to grow and live authentically. Our team has clinical supervisors and a range of clinicians with unique specialties. We have an open mind to new ideas to help empower others and change the world. Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field with current registration with Behavioral Board of Sciences (BBS). Pending BBS registration will be considered.
- First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment.
- CPR Certified within 30 days of employment.
- Valid California driver’s license.
- Ideal candidate will also have extensive experience with substance abuse treatment including certification/registration with a Drug and Alcohol Certification program recognized by DHCS.
- Licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Knowledge of /Experience with MediCAL documentation standards.
