Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Waxahachie is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join the largest hospital system in Texas.
Position Overview
- A full-time position will be based in Waxahachie, TX with optional responsibilities on the Dallas, TX campus.
- Employment by Health Texas Provider Network (HTPN) - Baylor Scott & White's employment arm.
- Affiliation with the Cardiology Section of Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant, and Mechanical Circulatory Support at Baylor Dallas.
- A faculty appointment with Texas A&M Health Sciences Center is available for interested candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert care to patients with advanced heart failure, including cardiogenic shock.
- Evaluate and manage heart transplant candidates and recipients.
- Evaluate and manage mechanical circulatory support candidates and recipients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Contribute to clinical research and education initiatives within the division.
- Optional skills: endomyocardial biopsies, right and left heart catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiograms, implanting percutaneous mechanical circulatory support.
Qualifications
- ABIM board certified or board eligible in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
- Subspecialty Fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
- Texas state medical licensure.
