EDUCATION : High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from a school of Surgical Technology preferred.CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : BLS certification required prior to end of probationary period. Surgical Tech certification required.SKILLS : Knowledge of care and handling of instruments and equipment. Knowledge of sterilization and cleansing procedures. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.EXPERIENCE : One or more years experience in an acute care hospital setting in the operating room or an instrument care environment preferred.
