What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation-Housekeeping position at Healthwise Nutritional Resources Inc?
Wet Area Responsibility
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all surfaces, including floors, walls, and equipment using approved cleaning agents for a Food Manufacturing Facility.
- Regularly inspect and clean drains to prevent blockages and maintain proper drainage.
- Disinfect all washable items, such as mops and cloths, after each use to prevent the spread of germs
- Ensure that all wet areas are kept dry and free from standing water to prevent slips and falls
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed to ensure continuous availability
- Complete and keep accurate records as required
Dry Area Responsibility
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including walls, floors and equipment
- Vacuum and mop floors regulary to remove dirt and spills,paying special attention to high-traffic areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of all dry areas to identify and address any sanitation issues promptly.
- Other duties as needed to maintain a clean and foodsafe environment.
- Complete and keep accurate records as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to read and speak English.
Physical Demands
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Walking and standing on concrete during work schedule. Required to climb stairs, kneel, crouch, carry containers in hands, handle cleaning chemicals and lift 50-pound containers.
Work Environment
- This is an indoor food processing environment that may have wet floors, humid and/or dusty conditions. The ambient noise level does not currently require the use of ear plugs, although these are available. Facility regularly processes known food allergens.
