We seek a versatile and reliable Medical Assistant Float to join our team. In this role, you will provide clinical and administrative support across multiple departments and locations within our healthcare system. II. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide Emergency and Non-Emergency Medical Care
- Process Medical Absences (return to work from short-term absence or medical leave)
- Open, extend and close medical leaves
- Conduct Medical and Fitness for Duty Examinations
- Schedule appointments for examinations
- Maintain clinic supplies for treatment and preventative measures in the workplace
- Perform injections, blood draws, and obtain patient vital signs
- Perform Urine Drug Screenings and Breath Alcohol Testing
- Conduct Audiometric Testing
- Conduct Pulmonary Function Testing
- Conduct Respirator Fit Testing
- Collaborates with other health care providers and Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs
- Other Duties as Required

III. Knowledge & Experience
- Occupational Health Care Experience (a plus)
- Critical Care Experience (a plus)
- Knowledge of Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, and Retention of Confidential Medical Records (a plus)
- BLS certification - American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.
IV. Skills, Abilities, Qualifications or Expectations
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff
- Ability to organize, perform and prioritize multiple functions and tasks
- Ability to organize, attend and participate in staff development, training, and wellness programs
- Basic Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Education:
- Associate (Preferred)
Experience:
- Occupational health: 1 year (Preferred)
- hands-on patient care: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Required)
- CMA License (Preferred)
