What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Chemist - I position at Healthy Analytic Labs?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Chemist to join our dynamic team for a state licensed ISO 17025 accredited Cannabis testing safety compliance facility. Experience in the Cannabis industry is encouraged, but technical and laboratory skills are of the highest value.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory techniques such as sample preparation, pipetting, and centrifugation.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols for data collection and analysis.
- Performs other job-related tasks (within the scope of experience and training) as specified by the laboratory director.
- Collect and record data from laboratory experiments and tests.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and results using laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Learns and maintains compliance with all applicable legal requirements, standards, and procedures including, but not limited to, those within the Quality Management System, Compliance Process, Company Code of Conduct, and State of Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency Testing Guidelines.
- Establish routine preventive maintenance schedules and perform troubleshooting activities on instruments and equipment to ensure data integrity and prevent interruptions to workflow.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze data and interpret results.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations according to ISO17025 and Michigan state Regulations and protocols in the laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. chemistry, biology, or a related scientific discipline)
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques (HPLC, LC/MSMS, GC/MS, ICP-MS, or subset)
