As our Clinical Director, you are responsible for overseeing an outpatient Behavioral Health facility, dedicated to providing quality professional and evidence based services, aimed at facilitating positive mental and behavioral health growth and transformation.
Your main responsibilities will be documenting weekly supervisions for provisionally licensed clinicians, per agency policies and procedures to include chart reviews adherent to CARF, DHH, Commercial Payor requirements, and Medicaid and Medicare requirements. You will also lead bimonthly all staff team meetings and collaborate with leadership to prepare for CARF reaccreditation summer of 2025.
The secondary responsibility of the Clinical director is to collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that the appropriate and most cost-effective quality medical care is provided to members. Qualifications:
- Independently licensed clinicians ONLY
- Able to be credentialed with Commercial payors, Medicaid MCOs, and Medicare
- Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related clinical field
- Valid LA Active unrestricted license to practice, Board Certified
- Valid NPI
- Up to date CAQH
- Current Professional Liability Insurance
- Sound understanding of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM)
- Experience in Addiction, SMI, SUD, Dual Diagnosis
- Supervisory Experience
- Prior experience in a collaborative role with other clinicians
- Excellent written & verbal communication in English (Spanish or any other language is a plus)
- Adaptable to technology, including telehealth software, comfortable with video communication and the use of EHR’s
- Telehealth experience
- Responsive to texts, phone calls, and emails during business hours.
- Solid PC skills, specifically using MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all clinical staff and care team members carefully observe HIPAA and other local and Federal compliance regulations
- Ensure charts are signed off and submitted for claims within 72hrs of appointment
- Ensure that clinicians and staff are fully trained in all aspects of their work, especially with regards to charting, crisis intervention and descalation, and suicide prevention
- Provide weekly clinical supervision to provisionally licensed clinicians to assure accuracy and quality in their work AND review and sign off on their charts
- Periodically monitor psychiatric and mental health records, provides appropriate feedback, and, when necessary, takes corrective action; and oversees peer review of clinical staff
- Guarantee all Behavioral/Mental Health providers and staff receive quarterly performance evaluations as well as other periodic evaluations as required (new hire, probationary, etc.)
- Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of medical, nursing, technical, clerical, service, maintenance, and other personnel
- Perform management responsibilities to include, but not limited to: assisting in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority
- Document and maintain clinical review findings, actions and outcomes in accordance with policies, and regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Oversee, monitor and assist with effective implementation of the Quality Management (QM) program; and work closely with the Utilization Management (UM) of services and associated Appeals related to children and youth and adults with mental illness and/or substance use disorders (SUD)
- Assist Outreach Team to develop community relationships with Hospitals, School Districts, Primary Care, etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $34.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
