As one of our (LCSW) Clinical Supervisors, you are responsible for training, oversight, and supervision of PLPCs, LMSWs, and counseling interns. You will also help oversee and train social work interns as well.

Primary responsibilities will be to maintain weekly supervision session and ensure those under you have a full understanding of how do initial evaluations (1915i/C), treatment planning, care plans, progress notes, and/or transition plan of care, step down care, referrals, and continuity of care as needed. You will also do chart reviews and signoffs for all provisionally licensed counselors.

This also includes ensuring provisionally licensed staff understand and complete the clinical care of clients from new evals through discharge planning. You will hold weekly or bimonthly meetings and/or group supervision sessions to go over case scenarios as needed.

This position reports to the Clinical Director and also collaborates with the Medical Director for medication management when applicable. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for ensuring seamless care for clients and clinical competency and guidance to interns and provisionally licensed staff.

Requirements:

- Licensed Clinical Social Worker

- Masters Degree in Social Work or related field

- Valid NPI

- Able to be credentialed with any private payors, MCOs, and other payors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social work or related mental health field (REQUIRED)
  • Valid LOUSIANA Active & unrestricted license to practice, Board Certified
  • Supervisory Experience (REQUIRED)
  • 2-3yrs min experience in a health related setting
  • CPR certified
  • Prior experience in a collaborative role with MDs/Psychiatrists preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License, in good standing
  • Complete 3 hours of continuing education in clinical supervision every 2 years
  • Experience with adolescents or young adults preferred
  • Current Professional Liability Insurance
  • Sound understanding of Evidence Based Practices
  • Experience in Addiction, SUD, Dual Diagnosis
  • Prior experience in a collaborative role with LPC & Psychiatrist preferred
  • Insurance Credentialing preferred but not required
  • Excellent written & verbal communication in English (Spanish or any other language is a plus)
  • Adaptable to technology, including telehealth software, comfortable with video communication and the use of EHR’s
  • Responsive to texts, phone calls, and emails during business hours.
  • Solid PC skills, specifically using MS Word, Outlook, and Excel

Responsibilities:

  • Document weekly supervision of charting audits per agency policies and procedures to include chart reviews adherent to CARF, DHH, Commercial Payor Requirements, Medicaid MCOs and Medicare payor requirements
  • Provide physician and team member support when necessary and collaborate with leadership and staff to establish, implement, support and maintain clinical and operational processes related to quality improvement and client charting, treatment planning, and progress reports
  • Provide weekly clinical supervision to Behavioral/ Mental Health providers, Social work interns, and counseling interns to assure accuracy and quality in their work
  • Set and Maintain weekly supervision meetings with LMSWs if they do not have a registered supervisor with the LCSW board already
  • Ensure that all Behavioral/ Mental Health providers carefully observe HIPAA and other local and Federal compliance regulations
  • Carry a small caseload and conduct initial evaluations, and regular individual therapy sessions using evidence based modalities and techniques
  • Allow master's level counseling and social work interns to shadow your client sessions during their practicum and internship as needed
  • Complete comprehensive psycho-social histories and Intake Assessments as assigned; meeting all compliance requirements for content and quality assurance
  • Chart individualized, behavioral & measurable treatment goals based on information in psychosocial assessment and psychiatric evaluation.
  • Complete all compliance documentation, including but not limited to: Initial Evaluations; Plan of Care Reviews; Master Treatment Plans; Suicide and Crisis Assessments and Planning; Urgent Coordination Notes; Mental Health Professional Progress Notes; and, other documentation as required
  • Provide referring physicians and/or psychotherapists, counselors, and care team with weekly updates of patient’s compliance with and progress in treatment.
  • Adheres to HAMG’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Prepare and assist with audits when requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure that progress notes are performed on each client and charted within 72hrs
  • Coordinates efforts to provide mental health services in conjunction with other providers.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrist to ensure quality continuation of care and remind clients to schedule medication management appointments as needed based on the care plan
  • Ensure that Behavioral/ Mental Health providers are fully trained in all aspects of their work, especially in charting, crisis intervention and de-escalation, and suicide prevention
  • Periodically monitor mental health records, provide appropriate feedback, and, when necessary, takes corrective action; and oversees peer review of Behavioral/ Mental Health providers
  • Guarantee all Behavioral/Mental Health providers and staff receive quarterly performance evaluations as well as other periodic evaluations as required (new hire, probationary, etc.)
  • Perform management responsibilities to include, but not limited to: coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.
  • Document and maintain clinical review findings, actions and outcomes in accordance with policies, and regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Oversee, monitor and assist with effective implementation of the Quality Management (QM) program; and work closely with the Quality Improvement Program management (QIP) of services and associated Appeals related to children and youth and adults with mental illness and/or substance use disorders (SUD) or any adverse incident reporting

Schedule:

  • Prefer a minimum of 8hrs a week

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 20 per week
