What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier- Bradley Fair position at Healthy Choice Markets VI LLC?
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
- Help educate customers about our products and our store philosophy.
- Inform every customer of our loyalty program, instore classes and events, customer rewards program (remember to ask customer if they have a rewards card at checkout).
- Ensure successful completion of all opening/closing duties.
- Adhere to company return policy and register procedures to ensure consistent, fast, friendly service.
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.
- Face the entire store, and replace it to a neat and clean appearance throughout shift.
- Maintain working knowledge of cash register equipment, ability to troubleshoot and keep area clean at all times.
- Take special orders/assist customers when picking up a special order.
- Maintain flow of customers through registers (check out).
- Mark down items going out of date for quick sale or demo; track all spoilage on company forms.
- Personally fulfill all cashier duties and set standard for fellow staff.
- May order products and maintain displays for areas around registers.
- Monitor cashiering supplies and alert Store Manager when it is time to reorder.
- Maintain neatness and cleanliness and stock supplies in the deli seating area.
- Monitor floral section remove dead leaves and blooms, replace water in fresh cut bins and water potted plants, etc.
- Ensure cleanliness of store/employee bathrooms throughout the day.
- Take out trash near deli seating area periodically or as needed.
- Monitor invoices for price changes and alert Pricing Coordinator as necessary.
- Adhere to company policy and procedure on placing all orders, submitting a purchase order, reporting receipt of product, etc.
- Answer phone calls.
- Fill out all necessary daily sales paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Attend mandatory monthly store meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a retail environment with merchandise displays and items available for purchase in inventory. This position may be exposed to extreme hot, cold and wet weather conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Standard days and hours are Monday through Sunday, typically between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. This position could require working weekend and holiday hours.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED and at least 1 years of grocery and/retail experience desired. Knowledge of natural and organic foods preferred. A liquor license is required to be obtained within 30 days of employment for applicable store locations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, a working knowledge of Microsoft office, internet usage and POS knowledge highly desirable
